Grade 8 Scholarship Programme 2024

St George’s Grammar School offers a Grade 8 Scholarship Programme based solely on the child’s academic ability and achievement and not on financial need. It is offered to Grade 7 pupils for Grade 8 the following year.

Scholarships are renewable each year dependent on satisfactory academic performance, behaviour and contribution to the school.

Parents of scholarship winners are expected to become as involved as possible in the life of the school and to contribute to it through the use of their own talents wherever possible and appropriate.

Should you child be a strong academic and all-round achiever (averaging 75%), you are welcome to apply for your child to sit for the Scholarship Programme. The scholarship assessment, which comprises English, Mathematics and Critical Thinking / problem solving exercises, is usually written in March of the child’s Grade 7 year. The application form that needs to be completed to sit for the scholarship assessment is made available in mid-January every year.

Application form 2024

Please note applications for the scholarship programme for 2024 closed on 8 March 2023. The next opportunity for scholarships will be for Grade 8 2025, with application dates in Term 1, 2024. Thank you.
